The Shelburne Commons project was the redevelopment of a poorly performing retail center in Shelburne, VT. The project was particularly challenging given the property’s history of non-performance and environmental contamination issues. It was substantially vacant at the time of purchase. Hazardous waste clean-up efforts were planned and permitted with a fast execution. Substantial property improvements were made to address deferred maintenance issues and improve the aesthetics of the property. Leasing and tenant fit-up work was aggressively pursued resulting in a 100% occupancy within twelve months of closing on the property.
